Indian Passport Renewal Misery at High Commission of India London – Right to Information Act (RTI)

May 2, 2010

During all these my frantic Googling I discovered something called Right to Information Act or RTI as it is well known.

RTI gives any Indian citizen to obtain information from any public offices. However RTI is not a “Sanjeevani Booty” which can be used to cure corruption problems. However RTI has been used successfully by various people for various reason for their cases.

I’ve been posing my situation to various forums and thanks to the Enlightened Indian Brotherhood I was advised to file RTI at High Commission of India, London to obtain more information regarding the status of my passport.

I did more research on RTI to find out how to file RTI with High Commission of India, London and felt little bit relaxed to know that at least I should be able to get more information if not the Renewed Passport.
